Installing a WinTV driver for Windows98 This page will give you instructions on installing a new driver for Windows98. These instructions can be used with either the WinTV for Windows98 Overlay Mode or Standard Mode driver.

Installing a WinTV driver for Windows98 Note: You should have previously downloaded the WinTV for Windows98 driver (either Overlay Mode or Standard Mode driver) and unpacked it into the c:\windows\temp\ directory. 1. Go into Device Manager Click on Start / Settings / Control Panel. Then goto System Then click on Device Manager Then click on Refresh. A "PCI Multimedia Device" should be found (the WinTV board). The Windows Add New Hardware Wizard is then run. Click on Next. When you are asked to "Specify the location of the driver", type c:\windows\temp\ Then click Next. 2. The Add New Hardware Wizard continues to run. You should see the next menu. Click on Next 3. The driver loads. 4. Click on Finish to complete the driver installation.
