VideoMagic from Hauppauge .. the TOTAL solution for editing videos on your PC.

Whether you are a serious hobbyist or professional, VideoMagic offers a complete answer to your PC-based video editing needs. You can digitize your video tapes with VidoMagic using high-quality Motion-JPEG compression, saving them onto your hard disk in a format called "AVI" (AudioVideoInterleaved). These digitized audio/video files can then be edited with VideoMagic's powerful 32-bit digital video editor, adding titles, special effects and mixing up to 100 video or 100 audio tracks.

After your video's are edited on your PC, record them back to video tape or turn them into MPEG movies for playback directly on your PC's screen.

With VideoMagic, you can:

Once you have captured video from your own camcorder or VCR (using VideoMagics high quality Motion JPEG compression), the fun begins! Using the powerful MediaStudio video editor, you can add titles, special effects, multiple video and audio overlays (up to 100 tracks!), 2 and 3 dimensional effects, plus dramatic fades and blends to create your own Hollywood style movies or just simply great business presentations.

After youre finished with your masterpiece, you can record it back to video tape, or turn it into an MPEG movie for playback on your PC screen.

And VideoMagic doesnt have any jumpers, so installation is a snap!

Motion-JPEG Image Compression

Motion-JPEG significantly reduces the storage space required to store digital video, allowing you to capture and playback full-screen video images at 30 frames per second, and edit the video using one of the many popular AVI software packages.

Configurable Compression Settings - Using a simple scale from 12 to 50, you may choose a higher compression ratio to store smaller video files or a lower ratio to store higher quality video files. You select the most appropriate compression ratio for your PC, and the hardware automatically performs the required adjustments.

VideoMagic Features

VideoMagic provides many high-quality features for editing your home video tapes:

Video Capture - Full motion video images are captured in the AVI format at up to 30 frames per second. Video inputs can come from either consumer grade composite video or pro-quality S-Video. Output your edited videos full screen to composite or S-Video video tape recorders.

Higher Capture Rate - Video displays are captured at rates up to 30 frames per second to provide a smoother, more realistic playback of each video sequence.

Digtial video editor - Edit your digital videos with our 32-bit video editor. Add titles, fades and audio tracts. Hundreds of special effects are included for both audio and video tracks, helping you create Hollywood-style movies or exciting business presentations.

Convert your videos into MPEG movies - The AVI-to-MPEG converter included with VideoMagic allows you to convert your digitally edited videos into MPEG movies. Play these movies back on your PC, or give them to your friends or customers. MPEG movies are also great for trade shows and school presentations.

Simultaneous S-Video and composite video output - Create high quality video tapes with Videomagics S-Video output while simultaneously monitoring video playback on a video monitor. If you have a Hauppauge Win/TV board, you can monitor video output in a window on your VGA screen while recording to tape.

Easy Installation - Just open up your PC and insert the VideoMagic card in an empty ISA slot, then use the Install diskette to install the Video-for-Windows drivers.
