Watch TV in a window plus capture still and motion video images to your PCs hard disk with Hauppauge’s new Win/TV®-CinemaPro.
CinemaPro combines an easy to use Windows95 interface with Plug-and-Play support for easy setup. Convenient video window controls, like channel surf and single click no-title mode, give CinemaPro the feel of a well tuned sports car. And Plug-and-Play makes the Win/TV-CinemaPro easy to install.
Create high impact multimedia presentations by adding snappy video images and digital movies to Powerpoint, Compel and other multimedia authoring packages. CinemaPro’s motion video image capture will make digital video movies on your PC’s hard disk. The optional hardware MPEG playback module allows multimedia kiosk developers to play MPEG movies into a window. And CinemaPro’s high quality still video image captures are great for adding impact.
CinemaPro is also great for Computer Based Training (CBT) applications, creating video databases and for making dynamic documents with captured video images.
The Win/TV-CinemaPro also has driver level support for WindowsNT. Functions supported under Windows NT include all TV functions (channel surf, channel changing, volume adjust, etc.) plus still image capture. The Win/TV Programmers Toolkit will allow Visual Basic 3 and 4 programmers, plus Microsoft C developers, to add full motion video and image capture to their Windows NT 32-bit applications.
CinemaPro-P: CinemaPro with cable ready tuner. Receives PAL broadcast systems B(VHF) and G(UHF) as used in Western Europe and Scandinavia plus Australia, India, Indonesia, Israel, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Yugoslavia. Teletext decoder standard.
CinemaPro-I: CinemaPro with cable ready tuner for broadcast systems in the U.K., Ireland, Hong Kong, and South Africa. Teletext decoder standard.
CinemaPro-S: CinemaPro with cable ready tuner for SECAM and PAL B/G reception in France.
CinemaPro (without tuner): CinemaPro without TV tuner for video overlay and frame capture. Video can be provided from video cameras, VCRs, camcorders, laser disk players, etc. Supports one composite video source or one S-Video source when using the optional S-Video cable. Digitizes at CCIR601 resolution.
S-Video cable - 3 ft. RCA to S-Video adapter and extension cable to allow connection to S-Video source.
Win/TV Speakers - 12-watt amplified multimedia speaker set with AC adapter.
Programmer's Toolkit - Set of DLL's, MCI driver and sample application source code for Windows and DOS developers who want to embed live video in their application. For developing computer based training, multimedia kiosk, and embedded applications like medical, security, process control, ID badge, etc. applications. Supports Visual Basic, C++, Borland C and more.
General specifications - Video digitized using YUV 4:2:2 color format at 60 fields per second (50 fps for PAL versions.) .5M of DRAM for image storage. CinemaPro’s maximum digitized image size is 708 horizontal pixels by 473 lines. Plug-and-Play chip contains serial number and tuner type.
Hardware AVI zoom - Horizontal and vertical filtering for variable zoom factors, eliminating aliasing of zoomed video clips up to 2X.
I/O, memory used, and interrupts - Plug-and-Play automatically sets I/O address and interrupt. Requires one interrupt for video clip capture (IRQ 5,7,10,11,12, or 15).
VGA Compatibility - CinemaPro works with any PCI or ISA VGA card or graphics accelerator (including those that do not have an active feature connector) in 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024, with vertical refresh rates up to 84Hz. Supports any VGA color mode (such as 256 up to 16 million colors).
Video clip capture - Save live video at 320x240 at up to 15-24 frames per second. (Actual save capability is determined by the speed of the PC and the hard disk drive.) Creates Microsoft Video for Windows compatible AVI files in a compressed YUV format. Note: Video clip capture is not supported under WindowsNT.
Accelerated AVI playback - Framebuffer and YUV-RGB color space converter for speeding up playback of YUV AVI video files.
Audio output - Unamplified "line-out." Output is through 1/8" female stereo jack. Line-out is compatible with "line-in" on most 8 and 16-bit sound cards, stereo systems or amplified speakers. An internal 4-pin connector is provided for optional connection to a sound card.
Pull down menus source select, channel select, image adjust (brightness, contrast, saturation, hue), options (remove title bar, remove toolbar, always-on-top, show size, aspect-ratio, etc.), configure saved image.
Channel Surf Quickly moves through TV channels plus external video source, displaying 16 thumbnail size images. Channel can be selected by clicking on the thumbnail image. Displays 4 channels per second.
File Save file type and bits per pixel. Supports TIFF, BMP, GIF, TGA, JPEG compressed plus more. Image can be MaxResSave, window size or preset in horizontal/vertical pixels.
Print Commands Page Setup, Printer Setup, Print.
Copy to Clipboard supports Microsoft DIB and BMP files. 8-bit color, 8-bit B/W and 24-bit color supported.

Win/TV-Capture application: Convenient video clip capture program. Creates AVI files, with or without sound (sound card needed for sound capture). Live video, video capture, video playback supported. Adjustable capture image size and frame rate. Note: WinTV-Capture is not supported under WindowsNT.
TV Schedule application: MultipleTV channel, day selection, week selection, start time, end time.
TV Screen Saver: Windows Screen Saver with TV-in-a-window and moving TV icon. TV tuned to last saved channel. TV icon can be OEM customized.
Professional teletext (in Europe) Supports multiple pages, subpages, and unlimited DDE links. Supports FastText and Top Text. Print and Save of teletext pages can be made in text or graphics formats.Multi-channel/multi-page autoswitching.
